Halima Aliyu is a writer, lawyer and editor. In 2005, she published a children story titled One Little Trick, One Painful Death. Her collection of short stories, Fire on the Tip of Ice was shortlisted for the ANA/Abubakar Gimba Prize for Short Story. In 2015, she was a writer-in-residence at the Ebedi International Writers’ Residency and was awarded the Marine Platforms Award for her writing. Her works have appeared in Expound Magazine, Praxis Journal of Gender and Cultural Critiques, BrittlePaper, AfricanWriter and other places. In her spare time, Halima mentors kids on Creative Writing at the Hilltop Creative Arts Foundation.

My name is Asma'u Baba-Diddi Ahmed. I'm a medical student. I am a poet. I have performed at numerous events such as the festival of lights, Kaduna Books and Arts Festival, Yasmin El-Rufai Foundation literary evening, Tedex Murtala Square to mention but a few. I am an aspirer, a dreamer. I host my own talkshow, the Asmy talk show. I am a photographer when I'm not in my books. I'm an amazing person and you'll surely love me. Deborah Oluniran is a counseling psychologist. Her works have appeared in Afridiaspora, Praxis Magazine, Love Stories from Africa, etc. Her story, The last Man Standing made the shortlist for the AMAB-HBF flash fiction, 2017. She participated in the Purple Hisbicus Trust Creative Writing Workshop and the YELF Creative Writing Workshop in 2018. Deborah is very interested in the workings of the human mind, ice cream, love, God and writing, in no particular order.

Habiba Malumfashi studies agriculture at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. She loves stories in any form and loves to talk books. She dabbles in poetry and fiction as well as reviews. She hopes to travel the world and visit the settings of her favourite books. Habiba is an ardent reader and thinks the best of friends can sometimes be found between the pages of a good book.

Roy exists between selves. When centered, he writes for them, to them, and about them. His works have appeared online in Bakwa Magazine and Kalahari Review, and in print in McSweeney’s Quarterly Review and Wasafiri, and in several print anthologies. He is a 2018 alumni of the Purple Hibiscus Creative Writers Workshop. In 2017, his short stories “After The World Broke” and “Beyond Home” were finalists for the Okike Prize and the Awele Creative Trust Prize respectively.
Once a year, he teaches a fiction writing class online, where for 14 of 365 days, he fancies himself worthy of having something to say.

Adamu Usman Garko is a student of Gombe High School, Gombe State. He is a poet, short story writer, and essayist. He was a finalist for the 2018 Wole Soyinka International Cultural Exchange (WSICE), and he was guest Artist at the Yasmin El-Rufai Foundation (YELF) monthly Literary Evening in September 2018.
