Open Arts joins the guest list
It is quite apt that days after Halloween we invite our bewitching guest to the Ayamba Meet & Greet stage for the month of November. She is sure to bedazzle you all with her wit and talents.
Meet our Guest
Sumayya Iliyasu ja’eh
Sumayya Iliyasu ja’eh is a lady of many talents and a visionary. A writer, program manager and artpreneur, she also happens to be the co-founder and creative director of Open Arts Foundation. Sumayya’s accolades extend across our borders to Uganda where she is a fellow of Arts Managers and Literary Activists Network (AMLA 2018). To learn more about her, make sure to follow her on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. You may also reach out to her via email at sumyjaeh@gmail.com.
What is Ayamba Meet & Greet
Ayamba Meet & Greet began in February 2021 to bring together artists so we can interact with their works. This, we hope, will spark and inspire creative conversations that are necessary for the growth of arts and literature. We believe in the importance of building a literate society and the event helps us do so alongside our community.
Meeting on the first Saturday of every month, we invite one or two guests from a pool of upcoming and established creatives from around the region with a lot of insight to share.
We also have performances from attendees and play fun games like charades and Monopoly, while our friends at VersusNG host Just Dance sessions on the Nintendo Switch.
Join us this weekend
If all that sounds like your cup of tea, or coffee, then come on down this Saturday to the Creativity Court at #21 Malam Isa Hassan Road, Unguwan Dosa, Kaduna. The event begins at 3:00pm on the dot, so if you’re scared of missing anything, don’t be late. See you soon!
